Privacy policy

ACS2U is the online store of Altitude Cloud Solutions. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, business name and ABN (if you give them), email, phone, delivery address and postcode, purchase order number and any notes you add.
• When you create an account: your email address and a password. We store the password only in a scrambled (hashed) form, so nobody here can read it.
• When you pay: if you pay with PayPal, PayPal handles your card or PayPal account details. We never see or store card numbers; we only receive confirmation of the payment and its transaction number.
• When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us by phone or email.
• When you browse: our web server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time) to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

We use your information to process and deliver your order, send tax invoices and order updates, provide warranty and support, run your account, answer your questions, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We don't sell your information, and we only send marketing if you've asked for it.

Who we share it with

Only as needed to complete your order or run the store:

• Our distribution partners and their couriers, who ship your order direct from their Australian warehouses. They receive your name, delivery address and phone number.
• PayPal, if you pay online.
• Our website host and email provider, who store the data on our behalf.
• Our accountants, and government agencies where the law requires it.

Some of these providers (such as PayPal) may store or process information outside Australia. We only use providers that protect personal information to a comparable standard.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to an account, we set one cookie to keep you signed in. Your cart, postcode and checkout details are saved in your own browser so they're there next time; they stay on your device until you clear them.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over encrypted HTTPS, and order and account data is kept in a secured database that only authorised staff can access. We keep order records for as long as the tax law requires (generally five years) and delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, and you can update your details yourself in your account. To ask a question or make a complaint about how we've handled your information, email acs@altitudecs.tech or call 1800 965 100. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
